Each hand is divided into two parts, the Auction, which is a negotiation for Contract, and the Play, which is fulfillment of Contract. As the Auction part decides which player is to be Declarer and play the hand, it must take place before the Play begins. The Bridge plaer does not bid for points, but he offers to win a certain number of Tricks.

MVP Bridge is played by 4 players. All cards are dealt so each player has 13 cards that are kept hidden from the other players. In the program, you are always considered to be SOUTH. Your partner plays NORTH, and your opponents are EAST and WEST. A hand of bridge is divided into 2 parts: bidding and play.
